The Group wakes up the next day and discusses what their next step should be due to them not having any real leads to find the answers they’re looking for. It’s decided once again that the group should try to stick together so that they can all remain safe. Ambassador Fant suggests that they go to Moncow to find the Holocron. Six is confused by this and questions Fant why they would go looking for a Holocron. Fant says that he may know someone who would buy it off them. Six-Ten is still questioning that motive but accepts that the Holocron would also sell very well on the Black Market if need be.
Convinced to go to Moncow Grif finishes the repairs on the ship and the Droid Anne. Grif says goodbye to his Uncle and gets his league of droids to hold things down in the Garage. With that the Group takes off to Moncow in the Expanded region.
When they get to Moncow they notice a large mostly oceanic planet with pillars of large Black Granite polygonal rock extruding from the sand of Moncow. As they land Fant meditates and tries to use the force to sense where the old temple and location of the Holocron might be. He feels a calling to a sand trap underneath the water. The tide begins to lower swiftly as one of Moncow’s moon’s summits the horizon. The Group runs to the sand trap as the water dissolves some of the untouched sand.
The Group breaks through the sand stone and walks into a set of large granite caves. Six leads the charge in case there’s any combatants ahead. Eventually the group comes to a magnetic iron door which becomes rigid when a organic life form approaches it. Using his cunning Fant uses the force to partially disable the trap and tells Six to try to use the door, because he’s mostly non organic, Six walks through the door and disables it on the other side letting Fant and Grif through. They reach another room which contains 4 large statues and a door frame with a flat stone blocking off the path. The group are stumped until Grif tries to move the arm of one of the statues. When he does so the statue beings to glow Purple and moves its arm back into place. The group begins to mess with the Statue more and eventually its eyes glow the same purple. The Statue beings to emit low frequency rumbles into the ground, Six realizes that this is a form of communication and attempts to use his cybernetics to comprehend and translate it.
Six learns and translates that these 4 beings are the Scouts of Kakra and are guardians of an old vault which contains many things they promised to protect. The Purple Scout named Drv’n asks why the group has come. Fant states that they are looking for a Holocron. Drv’n approaches Six and says, you are neither children of Malochor nor members of the Ordu or brothers of the Sun, though I sense that there is light in you. We will let you pass but we cannot give you your way out of the vault. The group decides to take them up on that offer and continue on into the Vault.
In the vault they find dusty books and weapons, artifacts and old proto lightsabers from ages long past. Six-Ten finds old style ammunition but isn’t interested in the old in the blades and knives. Fant searches for the Holocron and finds it hasn’t been activated in over 10000 years. Fant takes the Holocron and nothing else, Artifacts like this don’t sway him after his many adventures recovering similar items in his early years as a padawan. Grif feels a desolate and decrepit book calling out to him, interested, he approaches the book. It seems the leather and bindings of the book are made of a cavalcade of different animal skins. He hides the book within his clothing and begins helping Fant and Six look for an Exit. They find a door similar to the magnetic one hidden behind a bookshelf and pass through into another granite cave, at the end of the cave they meet another sand trap, break through and begin to climb up back to the surface to get back to their ship and sell the Holocron. Grif struggles to get himself up out of the sand and Six reaches his arm out to help him, the two share a short moment of respect for each other as they walk up the beach again and return to the ship.
The crew enters The Onslaught, Six asks Fant where they could meet his buyer and Fant tells him that he’d need to correspond with the seller at his house, as that is the only way Fant contacts him. So it’s decided that they fly to Scipio, the home of the banking clan, and while they’re there they would pick up Fants land speeder so they will have a way to travel without The Onslaught.
After this discussion Six attends to the piloting, flying the ship out of Moncow and towards Scipio. Fant tries to find a chamber to be alone in, as does Grif so they can both secretly inspect both the Holocron and the Book respectively.
Fant sits in front of the Old Pentagonal Holocron from within the holding cells of The Onslaught, he closed his eyes and then with the strength of The Force he willed the Holocron to open itself and reveal its contents to him. Appearing in a hazy blue hologram was a tentacled figure. The figure floats in the air before Fant as words appear before it in a beautiful script of Galactic Common. The Holocron explained that it would take time before it could speak aloud due to its age. Fant asked the figure who they are and what knowledge the figure has. The figure responds by explaining to The Ambassador that they were a compendium of knowledge extracted and created by the Jedi Master Ooroo, whom they replicate the form of and contain the memories and knowledge of. Fant learns that Ooroo was a Jedi master on the Grand Jedi Praxeum of Ossus and that he died during the Great Hyperspace War more than 5000 years ago when the Jedi first learned and fought the remnants of The Dark Jedi who had fled the order along with another sect and were thought to be destroyed after the Hundred-Year Darkness. The representation of Master Ooroo tells Fant that he can be called upon at any time Ambassador Fant may need his knowledge of help.
Up within the personal quarters of The Onslaught Grif Tiesk feels the calling of the decrepit journal he found within the vault of Moncow. Grif hears the book calling his name with the promise of power and knowledge. Grif opens the book to see scripts and symbols he didn’t recognize. Grif notices that there are many different handwritings in the journal but feels the calling of a certain set of pages in the middle of the journal. In that section Grif hears something translating the hieroglyphic text on the page out to him, it regards an ancient ritual which was used to draw power from a planet or moon and imbue it into other objects. This ritual is described as a way to create weapons for great warriors with a sacrifice of a planet’s soul in exchange for that grave power, it’s also described as a lost art and a very volatile one at that, as those who perform the ritual act as conduits for the awesome power of a galactic force and taking on that amount of power can consume someone from the inside out. The Journal entry states that this is why they are studying this art, to perhaps perfect it and find a way to contain the power.
And that’s the End of Session Two
